Barcelona target Edinson Cavani after Aguero's heart diagnosis

Barcelona could turn to Edinson Cavani when the transfer window reopens in January, according to Diario Sport, a tier-two source.

The La Liga giants have lost Sergio Aguero for at least three month after the former Manchester City striker was diagnosed with a serious heart condition.

Man City forward Raheem Sterling and RB Leipzig striker Karim-David Adeyemi are also on Barca's list as they look to bolster their attacking option for the second part of the campaign.

As for Cavani, the 34-year-old Uruguayan could be tempted by a potential move to Spain after seeing his playing time at Manchester United limited this season following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.
