Why Liverpool won't get £11m Barcelona still owe for Coutinho

According to Barcelona's financial records, the Catalans have still not paid Phillipe Coutinho's transfer fee in full.

As per the Mirror, Barca still owe €13million (£11m) in back payments for the Brazilian.

However, Liverpool will not get this money. Instead, a third party will receive the payment when Barca make it.

This is because the Reds sold the rights for the remaining payments to a third company after Barcelona paid a large chunk of Phil's £142m transfer fee.

Liverpool did it to get a guaranteed cash payment which allowed them to spend money on Alisson, Van Dijk and Fabinho in 2018.
