Son gets Tottenham back on track with Aston Villa victory
Tottenham Hotspur ended their three-game losing streak in the Premier League after recording a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.
Son Heung-min stole the show for Nuno Espirito Santo's side with a dazzling display, setting up Pierre-Emile Hojberg's first-half strike before his cross led to Matt Targett's own goal after Ollie Watkins had drawn the away side level.
The home side broke the deadlock after 27 minutes, as a quick counter-attack saw Hojbjerg receive the ball on the edge of the area, before guiding home a fine effort past Emi Martinez into the bottom corner.
However, Aston Villa were level with 67 minutes on the clock, as Matt Targett's teasing cross was met by Ollie Watkins to apply a close-range finish.
Parity lasted less than five minutes, though, as Son sped past Kortney Hause before his inch-perfect cross was diverted by Targett into his own net.
