Pique: 'I won't accept retiring as a substitute
Barcelona spanish defender Gerard Pique made it clear that he will retire while playing as second fiddle stating when he feels he can no longer continue but the moment he will not accept playing from the bench.
"When I feel I'm no longer at my levels or when I become a bench warmer, I will hang my boots. I will not accept it," Gerard Pique has told El Pais.
"I am still the rebel Gerard and the guy who makes the same jokes. And when I'm physically well, I notice it. I won't be the fastest, but I can compete against the best and not feel inferior. As long as it is like that, I will play," he added.
The 34 year old is currently one of Barcelona longest serving player in the team and has no plans of retiring any time soon.
