Paul Joyce: Mohamed Salah agent demands £400,000-a-week new contract from Liverpool

As per the very reliable Paul Joyce of The Times, Liverpool have made it clear that they want Mohamed Salah to stay at the club.

The forward's current deal expires at the end of the 2022/23 season and no agreement has been reached yet on a new contract.

Liverpool are reportedly aware that they would have to make Salah the best-paid player in the club’s history.

However, 'negotiations have reached a stalemate' at the moment.

Joyce adds in his report: "It is believed Salah’s representative, Ramy Abbas, is seeking more than £400,000 a week for the forward."

The Telegraph, another reliable source, further add that despite Salah's comments on wanting to stay at the club, there are 'currently no talks between his representatives and Liverpool'.
