Manchester United confirms Raphael Varane out 'for a few weeks with groin injury
Manchester United have confirmed that Raphael Varane will be out 'for a few weeks' after picking up a groin injury on international duty.
The centre-back limped off the pitch in the first half on Sunday as France beat Spain 2–1 in the 2021 UEFA Nations League final at San Siro in Italy.
Man United's statement reads: "Raphael sustained a groin muscle injury in the UEFA Nations League final and has commenced rehabilitation at the club. He will be out for a few weeks."
Varane's injury comes as a major blow to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with captain Harry Maguire currently sidelined as well. Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly are expected to start against Leicester City on Saturday.
