Koeman's send message of encouragement to Barca players ahead of Clasico

Barcelona will entertain Real Madrid at Camp Nou on Sunday in what looks like the most important game of the season for the Catalans and Ronald Koeman.

And the manager wants his players to show they're as good as their arch-rivals on Sunday.

He is not particularly concerned with a large number of players in the Barcelona squad who will experience their first Clasico.

"To know [El Clasico], you have to play it," Koeman told the press ahead of the game, as quoted by Football Espana.

"We have enough who have already experienced these games to help [the debutants]. 

"It’s to enjoy a pleasant environment. Play with personality and do your job.

"[The game] is important, especially for ourselves. It gives us confidence. The players work hard every day to win games and improve things.

"It’s an important game that we want to win. That has to be shown [on the pitch]."
