European Super League New format leaked now accessible to all clubs
The clubs behind the European Super League have prepared a new project, according to German business magazine Wirtschaftswoche.
The main goal of the revamp is to change the competition's original format and make it open and accessible, bringing it in line with the current Champions League.
The original Super League project had no mechanism in place for the 12 founding clubs to be potentially relegated, leading to the questions about the competition's sporting integrity.
As per Wirtschaftswoche, the new format will get rid of permanent membership in the league and make it open for all European teams. The competition will now have two tiers — higher and lower — with 20 teams in each.
