Asensio, Isco and Mariano out of Real Madrid squad to face Espanyol
Carlo Ancelotti will have just 19 players to choose from for the trip to Espanyol on Sunday after Marco Asensio, Isco and Mariano Diaz had to be left out of the squad with last-minute injuries.
Asensio has a gluteal problem, Mariano picked up a knock in training on Friday and Isco has a back strain.
Despite these three new absentees, what stands out again in Los Blancos' matchday squad is the lack of options at the back, with Marcelo and Ferland Mendy not yet ready to feature despite returning to training, while Dani Carvajal still faces at least a month on the sidelines.
Along with the absences of Gareth Bale and Dani Ceballos, that makes it eight players out for Ancelotti.
