Revealed: Chelsea blocked Rudiger to Spurs or PSGin 2020

Antonio Rudiger has gone from being on his way out of Chelsea to being one of the key players in the side in just 9 months.

The centre-back is in the final year of his contract, with no deal being reached yet.

Rudiger wasn't very important under Frank Lampard based on how little he played but now The Athletic has revealed that the club clearly still valued him.

The German was denied moves to Tottenham as well as PSG in the summer window of 2020, the report states.

While this doesn't change the current situation too much, it is obvious that the Chelsea hierarchy believes in Rudiger.

That could potentially be a positive sign as negotiations over a new deal continue!
