Liverpool 2019 contract offered to Timo Werner in revealed Details
Liverpool's pursuit of Timo Werner was common knowledge in 2020 but the Reds apparently made a concrete offer for the German even before that.
When Werner was in the final year of his Leipzig contract, the Merseyside club were negotiating with the player for his signature.
Der Speigel got their hands on documents from Werner's agent, Karl-Heinz Forster that were made available for a lawsuit in Germany.
And according to those, Liverpool offered the forward €12 million per year in wages and €25m in bonuses.
However, Forster convinced him to agree to a contract with Bayern instead, which Werner cancelled after finding out he wasn't value properly by the Munich side.
Werner then moved to Chelsea after a year, where he has struggled mightily, so this might just have been quite the bullet dodged!
