Laporta respond to Koeman's refusal to hold press conference ahead of Cadiz game
Ronald Koeman has had a strange press conference ahead of Cadiz. The coach read a statement he himself wrote and left the room without answering any questions.
Here's what Barcelona's president Joan Laporta has had to say on it.
"We found out at the last minute that he wanted to do it. The coach has the obligation to attend the press conferences and is free to answer questions or express himself as he considers," Laporta said, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.
"I respect his decision, we have found out minutes before, just like the captains.
"We are in a difficult moment, we must have a lot of serenity. These situations are overcome with good results and now important games are coming, we have to keep going and keep fighting."
Meanwhile, it's said that Koeman's days at Camp Nou are numbered. Laporta has reportedly decided to fire the Dutchman but will have to keep him in charge until a replacement is secured.
