Klopp set to receive first-ever 'German-British Freundship Award'
Jurgen Klopp has impacted the city of Liverpool like few others - since his arrival, he has become the face of the football club and has established himself as one of the world's best managers.
However, his roots are set in Germany as that's where the boss made his managerial debut and learned everything that he knows about football.
And now he has been recognised with an award that ties both the United Kingdom and Germany together as he is set to receive the 'German-British Freundship Award'.
This honour is the idea of the British Chamber of Commerce in Germany and the British Embassy, with the award honouring the special relationship and friendship between the two countries.
And Klopp is the first-ever recipient, as per Sport1, with the ceremony to take place on Friday at his former home stadium at Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund.
Not just a world-class manager, but a world-class human being too - congratulations to the gaffer!
