Joao Felix set for 4-12 games ban for making remark towards referee
Atletico Madrid attacker Joao Felix was involved in a row with the referee in their La Liga game against Athletic Bilbao on Saturday.
The Portuguese youngster received two yellow cards in the span of 10 seconds in the second half – shocking many in the stadium.
However, it’s been revealed that Felix actually called the referee ‘crazy’ leading to his sending off.
According to league regulations, Joao could now be suspended for 4-12 games because of his remarks to the referee.
Normally, a double yellow card sending off means only one-game suspension for a player – but it could be different for the Atletico Madrid player.
