Cristiano's mother claims grandson is already taller than Messi

Cristiano Ronaldo's mother Dolores Aveiro joked about Lionel Messi's height in a recent interview.

"I was with him (Cristiano Jr.) and I said, 'look, it's Messi,' and he replied, 'that's not Messi, this man is too small," Dolores Aveiro said in an interview, as quoted by Marca.

"Then my son encouraged him to wave. Messi is a very good person. My grandson is already taller than him, [laughs] it was a very fun moment."

Messi's height is not a subject of debate though, the Argentine stands at 1.69m (5'7').

However, Leo has often used his low centre of gravity to his advantage in terms of running and dribbling.
