Barcelona trim down list of Koeman replacements to two and in contact with Martinez

The contenders to take over from Ronald Koeman at Barcelona has been trimmed down from eight to two, as per multiple sources.

The tussle is now between Roberto Martinez and Xavi Hernandez as to who takes over from Koeman as Barcelona's next head coach.

Barca have already made contact with Martinez entourage over taking the reins at Camp Nou, Goal claim.

The source claim the Blaugrana are prepared to wait for Martinez and have told the Belgian FA to be prepared to lose their gaffer.

However, that doesn't rule out Xavi.
