Andres Iniesta confirms 'Xavi is ready to take over at Barcelona'

Speaking to Goal, Andres Iniesta said: "I think Xavi is ready to take over at Barcelona. If you ask me if I imagine Xavi on the Barca bench.

"Above all because he's been preparing and training to coach Barca. He has the confidence to take on this challenge.

"If the moment came, I'd consider it [coaching Barcelona]. What I can tell you is that I'd love to return to Barca, that is very clear."

Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman is reportedly a dead man walking following an abysmal start to the 2021/22 season (just two wins in five games).

Camp Nou legend Xavi, who has been learning his trade in Qatar, managing Al Sadd since 2019 and winning five trophies there.
