Aguero open up on refusal to take up Messi's no.10 at Barca

While talking to Ibai Llanos on Twitch, Sergio Aguero was asked why he didn't take up the no.10 jersey at Barcelona which had been vacated after Leo Messi's departure.

"They offered it to me, but I refused it. It wasn't that I didn't want it, it was out of respect for Messi," Aguero replied.

The Argentine will wear the no.19 jersey when he recovers from his injury, as it's been confirmed by the club.

The no.10, meanwhile, has been assigned to Ansu Fati. It's been reported that Joan Laporta insisted on the La Masia youngster getting it.
