West Ham 'agree personal terms with Zouma & hold a medical in Paris for him
Kurt Zouma has reportedly agreed personal terms with West Ham United ahead of a £25million transfer from Chelsea.
The Hammers had been long-term admires of Zouma - who is thought to earn £100,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge - but struggled to reach a deal with 26-year-old as he wanted West Ham to increase his salary to £125,000-a-week.
Nevertheless, Zouma has now agreed a five-year contract with the East London club and is said to be undergoing a medical in Paris at the moment.
According to The Athletic, Zouma has reached an agreement with West Ham after prolonged negotiations over the terms of his contract.
There was a worry that the deal would fall through when Zouma demanded a £125,000-a-week contract - making him the highest-paid player in David Moyes’ squad.
However, it is believed both parties have reached an agreement and that the centre-back is undergoing a medical in Paris ahead of his £25m move.
Zouma will be a valuable addition to Moyes' squad - having made 36 appearances for Chelsea last season.
He also helped Chelsea win the Champions League title and finish fourth in the Premier League.
The move to West Ham will also benefit Zouma - who has become a surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.
Blues boss Thomas Tuchel has favoured playing Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger and Cesar Azpilicueta ahead of Zouma.
