Koeman sheds light on Puig's future: The players know what I think, the club also know it
Barcelona have played three matches this season so far, but Riqui Puig is yet to step on the pitch. Following the home clash against Getafe, Ronald Koeman was asked to comment on the 22-year-old's situation.
"It is not good to give names. The players know what I think, the club also know it. That is enough," the coach said.
"There are several players who will have few opportunities to play, more so when we recover injured players. The situation is complicated, the important thing is to have a future in the place where you are."
With Pedri on vacation, Koeman chose Sergi Roberto to start in midfield. In the second half, the Dutchman brought on Barcelona B's Gavi and Nico Gonzalez while Puig remained on the bench for the third straight match.
