It's not a business for the future: Jurgen Klopp reacts to Ronaldo - United Transfer
When asked about the Cristiano Ronaldo saga that ended with a return to Old Trafford, Jurgen Klopp said in a press conference: "I watched it [Ronaldo story] like a football supporter, but I have no knowledge about it.
"It's not about me to judge that, but if other clubs can do it, it's not a business for the future, [the next] three to four years, it's about now and immediately.
"That's how some clubs are working and that's fine, but there must be different ways, clubs who look two or three years later and have success."
The salty Liverpool boss went on to add: "It's not always with the best squad in the world, it's about developing as a squad and a club and that's what we have done.
"We have resources and have been building for a while. I have no time to look at other clubs. I see the news, but I have no time to think about what they can do."
Klopp can call it whatever he wants but signing Ronaldo addresses a lot of issues for Manchester United.
For starters, we have a striker who is immensely fit, experienced and can guarantee at least 15+ goals per season. And it's not just about that - Ronaldo's return is great news for youngsters like Mason Greenwood, Anthony Elanga, Shola Shoretire and more.
We wonder where Klopp's ideals went when he broke transfer records to sign Alisson Becker and Virgil van Dijk. Of course, since then, Liverpool have been very quiet in the transfer market and that explains Klopp's strange reaction.
