Osimhen Reportedly Suffered Amnesia In Atalanta Collision
Napoli striker Victor Osimhen suffered a total blackout to the extent that he could not remember that he hit the back of his head on the ground when he collided with an Atalanta player Sunday.
The Super Eagles star could not remember a thing from the incident, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Osimhen spent a night in the hospital in Bergamo with Napoli doctor by his side.
The 22-year-old will undergo more medical tests today in Naples to ascertain the extent of the head injury.
Osimhen has already been ruled out of Thursday’s UEFA Europa League Round of 32 second leg match against Granada.
Granada won the first leg in Spain 2-0.
Recent months have not been kind to Osimhen who injured his shoulder on international duty and was sidelined for over three months.
He then contacted Covid-19 recklessly just as fresh controversy bubbled up when his brother told Italian media Victor is being played out by his own team.
