Abramovich Keen To Fund Deal For This Tuchel Top Target

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is already pushing for his top transfer targets ahead of the summer window with owner Roman Abramovich ready to fund another spending spree.

According to German outlet BILD report, RB Leipzig star Dayot Upamecano is attracting interest from the Blues, with his £37m release clause unlikely to put them off in the coming months.

To add, Tuchel’s side is already holding meetings with Upamecano’s agency Sport360.

Chelsea face competition from the likes of Liverpool and Bayern Munich, however, with a number of other European sides also chasing the Leipzig starlet.

The French defender is said to favour a move to the Premier League over a Bundesliga stay.

Speaking in September, the youngster said: “I have extended my contract with Leipzig. I am targeted by several clubs, I speak with clubs, but I have time. We will see what happens in the future.”

The 21-year-old was recently called up by France for the first time and is proud to be part of the national team set-up.
