Abia Warriors head coach, Imma Amapakabo has gone philosophical in his reaction to Thursday’s three-match ultimatum issued by the club management over a spate of poor results.
The former Nigeria youth international goalkeeper with previous decent coaching spells at Rangers International and Elkanemi Warriors, once again exhibited his literary prowess, reposting a statement he made on 14 January 2014, exactly seven years ago, on his Facebook wall.
“I coach with a lot of passion. My world starts and ends when I’m coaching. I’m like a conductor of an orchestra directing and feeling every instrument harmonising them to form a union in sound to make good music only me know when an instrument plays late,too fast or sounds awkward many hear but don’t know feel or know it. My greatest joy is when my players execute moves perfected in harmony with pace,skills and tactics to produce victorious results. This is my life, football is my game. Imama is my name,” the former Sharks FC of Port Harcourt player.
The club’s management in a release signed by their Media Officer, Nwosu Chigozie, gave the technical crew the ultimatum to reverse the fortunes of the club or get fired from their jobs, following an emergency meeting at their Secretariat in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.

Abia Warriors have lost all four matches into the 2020-2021 Nigeria Professional Football League season, leaving them at the bottom of the log.
Their poor start to the campaign came to a head after Wednesday’s 3-1 home loss against Jigawa Golden Stars.
Management believes the team shouldn’t be struggling, given the calibre of players at the disposal of the technical crew that must now post decent results in next three matches to retain their jobs.
