West Ham To Sign Chelsea Talisman Olivier Giroud In January Window
David Moyes is keen to bolster his attacking options ahead of the new year and Chelsea talisman Olivier Giroud has reportedly emerged as their primary target.
The 34-year-old French forward has been linked with a move away from Chelsea in the January transfer window as he is looking to improve his chances of getting into France’s Euro 2020 squad next summer.
However, Blues manager Frank Lampard has insisted that Giroud still has a key part to play at the club.
It is believed West Ham will be willing to offload Andriy Yarmalenko to stump up the funds to secure Giroud’s signature, according to The Mirror.
Moyes is determined to sign an established striker to help provide support for struggling Michail Antonio and Sebastien Haller.
Haller has only found the net twice in 11 games for West Ham.
Antonio, on the other hand, has been sidelined with a hamstring problem since West Ham’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa at the end of November.

As a result, the Hammers are said to be interested in bringing Giroud to the London Stadium in January.
