Solskjaer Provides Injury Update On Four Man Utd Players Before RB Leipzig Clash
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given a team news update on four players ahead of their trip to RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani are ruled out for the crucial tie on Tuesday night.
Both forwards were withdrawn with injury during the 3-1 win at West Ham on Saturday and while neither problem is serious they’ve not been included in the Red Devils squad to travel to Germany.
But David de Gea is back in the travelling party while Luke Shaw is also in the squad.
“David is travelling, Luke is travelling. Edinson and Anthony only minor niggles, but won’t be making the trip,” the Norwegian boss said on Monday afternoon.
United only require a point against the Bundesliga side to make sure of progress to the last-16 of the Champions League and they travel to Germany having won the reverse fixture 5-0 at Old Trafford.
Solskjaer will hope the confidence from that game can help his players get the result they require on Tuesday.
