Rodgers Counts And Names Leicester’s Many Mistakes In Shock Defeat By Fulham
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers has admitted his side made ‘too many mistakes’ during their ‘disappointing’ 2-1 defeat to Fulham on Monday.
The Foxes manager felt that ‘Fulham deserved to win’ as Leicester ‘lacked creativity’ in a game that could have seen them move level on 21 points with Tottenham and Liverpool at the top of the table.
Speaking after the game, the 47-year-old said: ‘’We’re disappointed, mistakes were made in the first half and it was an uphill climb. We had a lot more of the ball but lacked creativity.
‘’I thought Fulham deserved to win it, they had more energy in the first half and pounced on our mistakes and in the second half they dropped deep.
‘’It was more to do with ourselves, we knew they would be compact and tight but in the first half the speed and creativity in our game was not there.
‘’In the last few games we’ve made mistakes and got punished. It’s a young team and sometimes they play young. Fulham deserved to win.
“It was a disappointing first half for us. We made mistakes in our defensive moments and in this league, if you give away opportunities, it can be very difficult.
