Rashford, Martial And Greenwood Not Performing – Solskjaer
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted that his three main forwards haven’t been hitting their expected levels so far this season.
Solskjaer, though, believes his United side are still heading in the right direction and are close to achieving silverware.
“We were certainly one step away from a final last season, and we finished the season really strongly in the league as well,” he told ESPN.
“We were disappointed that we didn’t get to a final or lift a trophy, but that’s the next step for these players now.
“I think everyone felt how close we were and the mood, the spirit and the culture has improved since then. And the belief.”
Solskjaer went on to add that strikers Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood are still not performing at the required levels expected of them.

“Definitely the belief has grown, because we know we’ve got players – Marcus [Rashford], Anthony [Martial], Mason [Greenwood] – they’ve not really been on fire this season and when we get them scoring more goals, I’m sure we’ll look more of a threat,” he added.
