philanthropic: Lovren offered shelter to victims of the earthquake that struck in his native Croatia
Dejan Lovren has offered shelter to victims of the earthquake that struck in his native Croatia on Tuesday.
The earthquake hit in, a town of some 25,000 people, leaving one child dead and at least 20 injured, as well as collapsing roofs and even entire buildings.
The former Liverpool defender owns a hotel on the Island of Pag - and it can accommodate up to 16 families.
He posted on his Instagram page: "Dear citizens of Petrinja, I am making my hotel in Novalja available to the 16 most endangered families. If you need temporary accommodation, contact my team at [email protected] or Whatsapp 0996769971 with your details. An advantage to families with children."
Lovren is already well respected in his country, and what he's doing proves that this respect is deserved.
