Man Utd To Build Team Around Fernandes With Doubled Weekly Wages
Manchester United are set to offer Bruno Fernandes a bumper new contract to reward the attacking midfielder for his performances since joining.
Fernandes has had an incredible 36 goal involvements in 38 games (22 goals and 14 assists) and he has been the best performer for United in 2020.
And according to the Mirror, United want to offer Fernandes to double his weekly wages at the club with a new smashing contract offer.
The Portuguese midfielder is just eight months into his current contract, which runs out in the summer of 2024.
United hope to keep their star player happy as they are planning to build their team around Fernandes in the coming seasons.
At this moment the 26-year-old is on the same wage level as Jesse Lingard and number two goalkeeper Dean Henderson.
The Red Devils feel that this does not reflect the importance of Fernandes for the team and therefore want to reward him.
Fernandes’ doubled wages of €225.000 would still see him earning significantly less than top earners David de Gea and Paul Pogba, who are earning €380.000 and €330.000 per week, respectively.
