Man Utd Owner Joel Glazer Set To Reduce Ed Woodward’s Power
Manchester United have seen signings such as Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Daniel James, Bruno Fernandes and Edinson Cavani all shine since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over.
But, despite that, the Daily Mail say Red Devils owner Joel Glazer is keen for the club to appoint a director of football.
It’s claimed that the Old Trafford club have run numerous recruitment processes to bring in a ‘transfer guru’ over the last few years.
However, despite conducting many interviews, United have still not found the right candidate to work in tandem with Woodward and Matt Judge.
Woodward is currently in sole charge of recruitment, with Judge assisting, but that may change should an appointment be made.
The Red Devils have spent nearly £1billion over the last decade and they’re determined to get things right in future as they eye the Premier League title.
As things stand, they appear to be getting closer to that prize with Saturday’s 3-1 victory over West Ham which moved them up to fourth in the table.
