Liverpool Star Mohamed Salah’s Golden Boot Hopes In Jeopardy

Mohamed Salah's Golden Boot

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has his eyes set on the Golden Boot this campaign and has been in fine goalscoring form.

In total, Salah has netted 16 times – 13 of which have come in the Premier League.

It sees him leading the goalscoring charts so far, two ahead of Tottenham star Heung-min Son, Leicester’s Jamie Vardy and Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

But with James Milner back on penalties, the Egypt international will have to continue his finishing antics without the added boost of spot-kicks.

In total, the ex-Roma star has scored four from 12 yards out – taking his total from nine to 13.

However, Jurgen Klopp has insisted Salah will be in contention when a penalty is awarded depending on the circumstances.

“James Milner is the number one penalty taker,” Klopp said.

“When James is not playing, it’s Mo, and when Milly is on the pitch he can decide.

“So, Milly and Mo have finished off a pretty impressive number of penalties for us and that’s fine for me.”
