Klopp Concedes Premier League Title To Chelsea

Chelsea sit top of the Premier League table after beating Leeds United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

And Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has explained why Chelsea are looking like the favourites to win the Premier League title this season.

The Reds won the league last season for the first time in 30 years after steamrolling their way throughout the campaign.

This term has already proved more difficult with a considerable amount of injuries at Anfield, including Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez.

And after 10 matches, Liverpool are third and a point behind league leaders Chelsea but also have a game in hand.

However, Klopp has insisted it is Frank Lampard’s side that’s looking like title winners.

“If I watch football games at the moment then Chelsea, for me, looks like favourites,” he said.

“They have the biggest squad, great players playing well together after a rusty start – and they are full-on.

“They have unbelievable opportunities to change in games and make changes from one game to the other – so that is it.

“I don’t feel we are chasing anyone at the moment – or that anyone is chasing us.

“Pressure is there for us but it’s about how much you think about that pressure, to be honest.”
