Liverpool 1-1 West Brom: Semi Ajayi Delivers Baggies From Anfield Bondage
Semi Ajayi was again the man for West Brom as his header ten minutes from the end cancelled out Sadio Mane’s early strike and ensured the Baggies had their excellent second-half rewarded.
They were outclassed in the opening 45 with the Liverpool opener deservedly coming on 12 minutes.
Mane’s excellent touch, spin and finish giving the hosts the lead and the floodgates looked set to open such was the home side’s dominance with the Baggies’ defence constantly tested.
West Brom though came out a different team in the second 45 and were worthy opponents for the champions.
Jurgen Klopp’s frustrations evident and he was booked for a touchline outburst as his side threatened to let the opportunity slip.
They almost did when Karlan Grant ran clear but his effort was stopped at close range by Alisson but the Brazilian could not keep out Ajayi’s headed effort.

Liverpool’s 2,000 fans had the Christmas cheer knocked out of them as the Reds were left to bemoan three points that should’ve been theirs following their first half-time dominance.
