Frank Lampard Calls Chelsea Stars ‘Lazy’ After 3-1 Arsenal Defeat
Arsenal were 15th going into the game while Chelsea could have gone second with a win but they were 3-0 down after 56 minutes thanks to goals from Alexandre Lacazette, Granit Xhaka and Bukayo Saka.
A furious Frank Lampard said he was angry with the way his side approached the game and accused his players of not wanting to run or put the required amount of effort in from the start.
Lampard was disappointed after Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal as Timo Werner went a 10th game without scoring
‘Not good enough,’ said the livid Chelsea boss.
‘I’m angry because I want to win games.
‘Lazy giving away a penalty, and a free-kick, I’m very disappointed with way we approached first half.
‘In football it’s basics, it’s not the tactics or systems, it’s do you want to run, do you want to back your team-mate up, do you want to sprint or jog or do you not want to run? And we took that decision rather than the right one.
