Former Barcelona coach Quique Setien insists he's over his sacking by Barcelona
Quique Setien says he's over his sacking by Barcelona.
His dismissal sparked a legal battle with the club, and now he is left with both positive and negative memories from his time at the Camp Nou.
"I have already come through the mourning I had to endure for what happened at Barcelona," Setien said. "But it's something that happens as part of this job.
"If you manage to live isolated from everything, which is what I've done, you can live calmly. I've changed my phone, and the stop me on the street and ask for interviews, but I try to just stay the same.
"The experience was extraordinary. It's true that we didn't enjoy what we would have liked to enjoy, or do what we wanted at the beginning, but you find that things get complicated.
"Of course I would return to Barcelona and I don't regret having gone there. Not at all."
A lot has been written and said of Setien's time at the club since his departure, but he remains happy with the progress he believes the side made under him.
"The data showed that we improved some things from the beginning," Setien added.
"We won more balls in the opponents' half, we kept possession for longer, and we completed more passes. That's all objective data."
