Chelsea Want To Sign 18-Year-Old Left-Back In January Transfer
Chelsea are reportedly eyeing a move for highly-rated RB Leipzig defender Matthew Bondswell with Frank Lampard remaining eager to strengthen his squad.
Bondswell is due to spend the season on loan with Dutch outfit FC Dordrecht and has been capped for England at Under-15s, U16s, U17s and U18s level.
According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are keeping an eye on the 18-year-old, who primarily plays at left-back, ahead of the January transfer window.
The Blues strengthened heavily in the summer with Frank Lampard bringing Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell into his defence.
Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is keen to see success back at Stamford Bridge with the Blues drawing 0-0 at the weekend with early Premier League table-toppers Tottenham.
Chelsea could be boosted in their hopes to sign Bondswell having signed Timo Werner from RB Leipzig during the summer.
