Aubameyang’s Agent Slams Mikel Arteta After Tottenham Loss

Aubameyang's Agent Slams Arteta

A 2-0 defeat to Tottenham was Arsenal’s third defeat in four games and leaves them 15th after their worst ever start to a Premier League season.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s performances have come under particular scrutiny as he has managed just two league goals since signing a lucrative new three-year deal at the Emirates last summer.

The striker’s struggles in front of goal are symptomatic of the Gunners’ broader creative issues and the team has managed just 10 goals in 11 games.

Aubameyang’s agent, Kwaku Mensah, was keen to highlight this fact as he took to social media to aim a dig at Arsenal’s lack of creativity under Mikel Arteta’s style of play.

Mensah posted a picture of a Sky Sports graphic showing the alarming full extent of the Gunners’ woes in the attack, accompanying the Instagram image with the words: “If you create chances…”

The statistics showed no team in the Premier League has created fewer chances than Arsenal’s 65 this season, while they are also sorely lacking goals and efforts on target.

But Arteta insisted goals will come as he spoke after the match, during which his side attempted 44 crosses.
