Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta To Face Sack This Week
Arsenal lost 2-0 to Tottenham in the north London derby on Sunday night with goals from Son Heung-min and Harry Kane.
And Mikel Arteta could get sacked this week if they lose to Burnley, according to Watford striker Troy Deeney.
It means Arsenal are now closer to the bottom of the table than they are the top and, to make matters worse, it’s Tottenham who now sit at the summit.
The Gunners are backing Arteta for the time being but Deeney, speaking on talkSPORT, thinks that could change if they lose to Burnley on Sunday (7.15pm).
“Arsenal are in trouble. I’m happy for them that they are at home, but if they were playing Burnley away this week I’d be very nervous for them,” said the Hornets striker.
“I think he [Arteta] has to come under criticism, ultimately because of where they are.
“For me, and I’ll go out on a limb here, if they lose [to Burnley] he is massively under pressure.

“I’d be surprised, if they lose and the ones around them win, and they are looking more backwards than upwards, he would be under pressure to keep his job.”
