Man United To Bring Jonny Evans Back To Old Trafford On A Free
Jonny Evans could be on his way back to his boyhood club Manchester United next summer as the Red Devils are reportedly plotting to resign the defender.
Despite his impressive 2019-20 for Brendan Rodgers’ side, the Northern Irishman is yet to agree a new deal at Leicester City with just seven months remaining on his contact and little more than a month until he can open discussions for a free transfer next summer.
According to the Sun, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and assistant Mike Phelan are among United staff who still have ‘plenty of time’ for Evans, with the Old Trafford side closely monitoring his contract situation.
Evans is keen to stay at the King Power, saying in October: ‘’I have really enjoyed my time here.
‘’There’s been nothing formal in terms of contract talks but if we can come to an agreement I’m sure it won’t be a problem and it will be sorted soon.’’

However, United could pounce if a deal isn’t struck soon, with the Norwegian boss reportedly keen to add a left-sided centre-half to his leaky defence.
