In-Demand Ajax Defender Set To Be Brought To Anfield
Liverpool are ready to bring Ajax defender Perr Schuurs to Anfield during the January winter window.
The young defender has been followed by Jurgen Klopp’s side for several seasons and it has now been claimed that they are ready to make an offer for Schuurs.
Corriere dello Sport even claims that the Reds have already made contact with Ajax.
Schuurs has been on Liverpool’s radar for years, ever since he played for his former club Fortuna Sittard.
The Dutch youngster even spent several days at Liverpool, completing several training sessions and receiving a tour at Anfield and their training ground.
At the end Schuurs wasn’t signed by the Reds after he chose to continue his career at Ajax.
He began as a back-up for Matthijs de Ligt and after the Dutch international moved to Juventus last year, Schuurs has been developing into a leading player for the Eredivisie giants.
Schuurs has a long-term contract at Ajax and they are aware of the defensive problems at Liverpool.
