Diego Maradona Personal Doctor’s Home Raided, Charged For Manslaughter

Diego Maradona Personal Doctor Manslaughter

Diego Maradona’s personal doctor is facing investigation for potential manslaughter of the Argentinian icon.

The 60-year-old was recovering brain surgery after going under the knife last month following a bleed on the brain.

And his personal physician Leopoldo Luque could be charged with the former Barcelona star’s ‘wrongful death’ after he was discharged from hospital, according to Spanish outlet Marca.

Maradona’s three daughters Dalma, Gianinna and Jana believe Luque is the main person responsible for the care of their father in recent weeks.

Luque’s home is being raided by police today following the family statement.

And the doctor will have to testify before the prosecutor on suspicion of medical negligence.

A different doctor, said to be responsible of giving Maradona his medication following his hospital release, could also face charges.

There is also controversy surrounding the nurses who were looking after the 1986 World Cup winner before his death.

The replacement nurse says that she heard him use the toilet at around 7.30am, but did not enter his room to check on him.

However, those reports are now in doubt after the overnight nurse’s supposed admission that she did not enter Maradona’s room all morning while she was on duty, but was told to lie for the report.
