Sergio Ramos becomes the most capped player of Clasico

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has moved up the ladder to become the most capped player in the famous El Clasico (45).

Having recovered from an injury that kept him out of Madrid Champions League loss against Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk the 34-year-old was eager to feature against the Catalans.

Ramos scored Madrid second goal from the spot and produced a quality defensive display after Vervede had put them in front before Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati drew level then Ballon D'or winner Luca Modric rounded it up making it 3-1.

The 34-year-old has equalled Raul Gonzalez and Gento.

A Sevilla's youth academy player, Ramos moved to Real Madrid in the summer of 2005.he has Since then, become a key player for Real Madrid, and has won 22 major honours, including five La Liga titles and four UEFA Champions League titles, becoming one of La Liga's top goalscorers from a defensive position.
