Barcelona Making progress in Negotiations over new Ter Stegen deal after several months of stalemate

Ter Stegen will be 33 years old by the time his reported new contract expires.

There's been progress in Barcelona's negotiations with Marc-Andre ter Stegen's representative over a new contract for the player, Mundo Deportivo's Miguel Rico reports.

It's said that the new contract will go until 2025, while the German's current deal expires already in two years.

It is also expected that Ter Stegen's wages will be significantly improved, as he currently earns less than players like Samuel Umtiti, Sergi Roberto and Ousmane Dembele.

Previously, there were reports saying that the negotiations had to be frozen because the pandemic had a negative impact on Barca's finances.
