Lampard confirms Ziyech, Chilwell and Silva out of Chelsea vs Leicester game

Silva has not trained with the team yet and Chilwell is nursing a previous injury.

Ahead of our Premier League opener against Brighton, Frank Lampard said in his pre-game presser that Ben Chilwell, Hakim Ziyech and Thiago Silva will not feature.

Chilwell missed the last few games of the 2019/20 season with Leicester City after picking up a heel injury which will keep him out of action for a while.

Silva has not yet trained with the club so he won't be involved in this game.

Ziyech is expected to be back in a couple of weeks - he twisted his knee in a friendly game against Brighton last weekend and this seems to be a precautionary measure from Chelsea.

We will face Brighton at the Amex Stadium on September 14.
