Barcelona Captain Messi clear up air on his Suarez farewell post aim at the board:'I said what I felt'
The captain explains he wasn't able to 'shut up or let it go' as he used to do previously.
Leo confesses a lot of things hurt him at that moment.
"I said what I felt in what was a tough moment," Leo Messi has confessed to Diario Sport, referring to his emotional farewell message to Luis Suarez.
The Argentine added: "I understand people may have thought I should have shut up or let it go, as I did on many other occasions.
"But a lot of things hurt me in the last few weeks and it was my way of expressing that."
Messi aimed a clear dig at the Barcelona board with his goodbye message to Luis Suarez last week.
Among other things, the captain wrote: "You did not deserve for them to throw you out like they did. But the truth is that at this stage nothing surprises me anymore."
In the same interview to Sport, Messi also said he wanted to put an end to the disagreements between himself and the Catalan club.
