Barca target Angelino complete another loan move to Leipzig

The 23-year-old defender returns to Leipzig on loan but would be available next year if he doesn't play in required number of matches.

Barcelona won't be able to land Angelino as Jordi Alba's potential back-up for the next season as the versatile defender has officially joined RB Leipzig.

The 23-year-old will spend another season on loan at the Bundesliga side, the club have confirmed.

Leipzig have a mandatory purchase option which means Angelino would move permanently if he plays 12 games next term.

Otherwise, he would return to his parent club Manchester City.

The Spaniard used to be one of Barca's prime targets to eventually replace Alba.

He managed one goal and 5 assists in 18 games last season.

Apart from Angelino, the Catalans have also been linked with Valencia's Jose Gaya and Ajax's Nicolas Tagliafico.
