Coppa Italia Lost: Ronaldo’s Sister, Elma Aveiro, Defends Her Brother
Cristiano Ronaldo‘s elder sister Elma Aveiro came out to defend her brother who has been consistently dragged for not doing enough to help Juventus against Napoli. Ronaldo played 90 minutes of the Coppa Italia final that took place on Wednesday night between Juventus and Napoli. Unexpectedly, the match dragged until the end without a goal from both sides.
Juventus played so badly that even the former world best couldn’t make up to two shots on target throughout the regular time. With the memories of losing a penalty in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final still fresh in Ronaldo’s mind, he was made the 5th penalty taker for Juventus when the match dragged into penalties shoot out.
However, before it could get to his turn to take his spot-kick, Napoli has already wrapped up the victory 4-2, earning Ronaldo the bad record of suffering two conservative football finals defeats.
The manager of Juventus, Maurizio Sarri, said after the match that Ronaldo and other star players of the club lacked sharpness on the night and could have played better than they did.
But Ronaldo‘s sister, Elma Aveiro, thinks otherwise. She took to her Instagram page to post a collage of pictures showing different facial expression of Ronaldo after the Coppa Italia lost.
In the caption, Aveiro wrote in Portuguese that only Ronaldo would not be able to perform a miracle in a team’s sport like football and urged him to cheer up.
“What more can you do 🤷🏻♂️This is it and that’s all, that’s why my darling alone doesn’t work miracles … I can’t figure out how to play like this ⚽️ anyway … head up, but you can’t do it 🤷🏻♂️my King”, she wrote.
