Report: 3 players tests positive for COVID-19 to possibly set back Bundesliga return

After what can be said to be a major set back in the world of football, Bundesliga was set to resume sparking excitement in the heart o football lovers across the globe but that joy could be cut short as three Cologne players tested positive for coronavirus pandemic.

 German football club Cologne tested the entire team, backroom staffs and coaching staffs for coronavirus before 3 tested positive the formers will be placed into 14-days quarantine with hopes to kickstart the German football season in Ma

"Cologne will not confirm any names out of respect for the privacy of those affected."

 The club said players would continue to train in preparation for the Bundesliga campaign to resume, with further tests to be carried out as part of the league's health and safety protocol.

The Bundesliga had initially set a return date of May 9 but still needs permission from the German government.

If eventually  the league returns in May it would make the Bundesliga the first top league in Europe to resume as Germany cautiously eases lockdown measures.
