Sir Jim Ratcliffe submits revised bid to buy Man United

As reported by The Independent, INEOS founder Sir Jim Ratcliffe has submitted an improved bid to purchase Manchester United in its entirety.

INEOS were granted an extension to Wednesday's deadline to submit final offers. Their initial offer was around £4 billion, which falls short of the Glazers' £6 billion valuation.

Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani is also preparing a world-record bid, with The Independent claiming he's ready to match the Glazers' demand.

Ratcliffe is reportedly concerned that the Glazers' ask is far too high compared to what United are valued on the market.

The exact details of his revised offer are unclear but it's believed to be over £5 billion.
